Why Patients Choose Our Practice For Dental Crowns and Beyond

One-on-One Dentistry

Your teeth, gums, and dental health at large are unique to you; your treatment plan will be, too. We have helped numerous individuals in Vero Beach, FL, and beyond with an emphasis on patient comfort, dental education, and lasting results. You’ll be treated as an individual, not just another patient.

Comprehensive Treatment

With us, your unique needs can all be met under one roof. Our skilled dentists have the resources and expertise to integrate dental crown placement into a broader treatment plan that comprehensively restores function and beauty to your smile. A dental crown can be paired with dental implants, veneers, gum contouring, and more to create the brand-new smile of your dreams.

Sedation Options

Some patients may have a dental phobia or have difficulty sitting for extended periods. Additionally, your comprehensive crown treatment may require preparatory treatment or implant surgery. Our dentists can discuss sedation options that help keep you comfortable every step of the way.

How Is a Dental Crown Placed? A Look Into the Process

Initial Consultation

When you visit our Vero Beach, FL, office for your first appointment, your dentist will take the time to examine your teeth and explain all of your options to you. We never begin a treatment or procedure until all of our patient’s questions have been answered and you feel at ease moving forward.

Preparation

If necessary, any damaged or decayed tissue will be removed from your problem tooth. Then, the tooth will be reshaped to make room for your crown.

Patients receiving an implant-supported crown to replace a missing tooth will need dental implant placement.

Impressions

Your dentist will create a 3D impression of your prepped tooth and its surrounding structures. This will be used for the fabrication of the crown to help create a natural, aesthetically pleasing fit.

Fabrication

We coordinate with a trusted dental lab to create your custom restoration while you wear a temporary crown. The temporary crown will protect your tooth between appointments. Patients typically receive their permanent restorations within three weeks.

Placement

Once your porcelain or zirconia crown has been created, your dentist will remove your temporary crown and place your new crown over the tooth. They will then check its fit and function before securing it in place.

Paying for Dental Crowns What You Should Know

The total cost of your dental crown treatment will depend on how many crowns you need and what material they are made from; our practice can craft crowns from both porcelain and zirconia. Additionally, any preparatory work required will factor into how much you can expect to pay.

Fortunately, our office works to make top-of-the-line dental care as accessible as possible. We accept financing through CareCredit®, a third-party lender that lets you break down payment for treatment into manageable monthly installments. Our office also offers new patients paying in cash $50 off a comprehensive exam and a full mouth series of X-rays.

Is It Time to Replace Your Existing Crown?

Even dental crowns crafted from high-grade materials will eventually need to be replaced. If you experience any of the following, it may be time for a new crown:
  • Pain or swelling: An improperly placed crown can result in gum swelling and constant toothache.
  • Damage to crown: When a crown breaks, the tooth and roots are left exposed. A damaged crown may cause you to experience sensitivity to hot or cool liquids.
  • Aesthetic concerns: Your crown may look older when compared to modern restorations. Additionally, over time, it may stick out visually as your teeth have naturally changed color.
